2021 Roof Project

It's All About People!

Fixing the roof at GHNAZ means that we get to minister to people in a variety of ways. Our goal is not just to have a place for us to gather for corporate worship, but a place where we can minister to others in our community and around the world. People matter to God, and people matter to us! Our building is a place for us to gathering and be ministered to so we can be sent back out into the community to be salt and light.

Financial Goal

We need to raise a total of $127, 000+ to fix the flat roof and the roof over the sanctuary. $50,000 is needed to lock in our price and sign the contract. The sooner we raise the first $50,000 the better because material cost are on the rise. Make a donation today @ give.ghnaz.org to help us reach our GOAL.

Of course , it would be ideal to raise all the funds needed for this project through our church family and not have a mortgage, but if we can't raise all the money we plan to get a loan from WIF (Wesleyan Investment Foundation) to cover what we don't raise. This would mean an extra monthly bill. WIF will loan us up to three times our yearly income and would like for us to raise at least half of the funds this project.

We are also looking into matching funds and grants available to help out.

Project Date

Once we sign the contract we can choose our preferred project date, which would be to start the project September 1, 2021 and be finished five weeks later. Again we can not sign the contract or choose a preferred date until we raise the first $50,000. Project details can be seen in the picture above.

We Can Do This Together!

So, how can you help?

You can first start by praying about the project. Pray that the hidden cost are minimal. There are always hidden cost in a project this size, especially when a leaky roof is involved. Pray that there is no mold. Pray about what the Lord would have you give. Some of you may be able to give a sizable gift that could affect the legacy of the church ensuring that we can continue to minister to others for years without worrying about upkeep so we can focus on ministering to people and their needs.

Next, you can give. Give whatever you can now or give as you are able. Every little bit helps. We're all at different spots in life, so we understand that we can't all give as we'd like. We are simply asking everyone to do what they can. Go to give.ghnaz.org to give safely and securely online or mail your gift to: Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene 1620 S. Beechtree St., Grand Haven, MI 49417.
